Re: some scales

Thank you for your response. I have been trying out various depth map generators on Hugging Face such as MiDaS, ZoeDepth, then Photoshop beta, Davinci Resolve, and also paid services like Leiapix. Although not for Diatoms, I was just interested in knowing how you dealt with a similar scenario.

3d model (on click):
Adalbert,

I'm curious if you've experimented with generating a 3D model using a depth map and using Blender sculptural mode to smooth out the displacement edges.

Re: some scales

Very nice. How did you generate the model, depth-map and Blender?

Re: Source for 1/4 wave filters

Do you need precisely 60mm or at least 60mm? A cheap source would be a 62mm circular polariser with the linear filter removed. I'm out of my league here, filter-wise. I think something between 60 and 55mm would work, but not sure. I'm willing to try of course. I can redesign my rotating slider to a...

Source for 1/4 wave filters

Looking for an inexpensive source for (3) 60mm (actual filter diameter) 1/4 wave filters. I tried some Edmund Optics 1/4 film, but it's a bit too 'thin' for my intended purpose.
