Thank you for your response. I have been trying out various depth map generators on Hugging Face such as MiDaS, ZoeDepth, then Photoshop beta, Davinci Resolve, and also paid services like Leiapix. Although not for Diatoms, I was just interested in knowing how you dealt with a similar scenario.

Do you need precisely 60mm or at least 60mm? A cheap source would be a 62mm circular polariser with the linear filter removed. I'm out of my league here, filter-wise. Looking for an inexpensive source for (3) 60mm (actual filter diameter) 1/4 wave filters. I tried some Edmund Optics 1/4 film, but it's a bit too 'thin' for my intended purpose.

Sure makes things more enjoyable when things get setup correctly.
