Here are some pictures that show how the stepper motor was attached to the Nikon Labophot: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/820_2010_02_01_0381_resize_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/820_2010_02_01_0382_resize_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/820_2...

Peter, Thank you very much for your comments. I did use live view with the Canon 450D, in live view mode, the silent first shutter curtain is used automatically by the 450D. May be the problem was the moving of the mirror that the 450D does after each picture is taken in live view, I would like to h...

Here are my test of stacked pictures using: - Nikon Labophot with a stepper motor to move the fine focus. - Nikon Plan Apo 60X 0.95 NA, the NA was 0.85 after closing the condenser for Köhler illumination. - Nikon CF PL2.5x - Canon 450D, live view. - The images are from a Animal Mitosis slide. - All ...

Chris, infinity microscopes are a lot like telescopes. The magnification of the objective + tube lens is determined by the ratio of focal lengths. An objective will deliver its rated image circle and magnification only when it is paired with a tube lens of the proper focal length. I'm not completel...

Thanks for the link, Rogelio! I hadn't found this one. There is another one, ebay# 370326853006, but I am not sure if it will fit Nikon, though I think IIRC I have read somewhere of "Neo" for a larger thread on a Nikon objective as well, but can't find that again right now, hmm.... Maybe other memb...

This, 370321401850, eBay item is close to what you need to use this objective with a RMS to (T-ring, M42, etc) adapter, may be the seller can make one with 26mm internal. I think this adapter, with the proper inside diameter and pitch, would be good because it will block the surrounding aperture and...

Linden,

I look very well made.
I would like to know price of:
- The complete system (rail + motor + controller)
- The rail alone.

This looks very interesting ... It would be very nice, if you would - furtheron - develop this for NIKON cameras, also! Will it run on Windows 7 (or even Mac OSX 10.6?) The Canons EOS utility software allows to capture a picture pressing the Space key. My utility send the Space key to the EOS utili...

This is definitely catching my attention, as I use Canon EOS utilities to capture each frame, but I am moving the subject on a focusing rail by hand. The automation of that process would make a world of difference. I will be keeping an eye on this thread! And the best part is that the utility is fr...

There is a minor spelling error here: "Deep of field". It should be: "Depth of field" I will correct it and the "Launch" word in the button. Did you write the Canon EOS Utility? If not the Canon SDK is available for free. I think the Nikon SDK is also free. Olympus charges for their SDK. My initial...
