Re: New 3D lighting system (DIY)

I used colimating lens, not hemisphere (got this DIC'ish effect) .
Found it useful mixing with other illumination types.

Rotation/displacing helps a lot (if you have enough room between condenser holder and illuminator) .

Thanks Pete !
PM me your shipping address.
I’m using foam friction pads instead springs, they perform very well.
Best,
Saul

I suspect it is for Olympus BH2-PC (do not own this condenser , one person ordered it, but never got response from him) Please check the attached drawing...

Zeiss / Motic condenser

Got Motic (as per ebay listing description) condenser:

After couple weeks I saw another same condenser listing, which states that it is a Zeiss Primo Star condenser.
Mistake in the listing, both brands sharing same condenser or something else ?

Re: Trinocular stereoscope + cellphone

It covers aps-c but with a bit of flare and edge shading due to the design of the trinoc port (edge shading could probably be mitigated by rotating the camera 90 degrees). Wasn't super happy with image quality, though I have been thoroughly spoiled by name brand stereos. I did a little writeup over...

Re: Trinocular stereoscope + cellphone

You just need to mount a viewing eyepiece at the right height--since a cell phone has a lens on it afocal is about your only option. This model has an m26x0.5 thread on the trinocular port, and the primary image is far enough above for direct projection onto a dslr, so adapting on an eyepiece shoul...
