In order to get polarized light trough a microscope, the filter must be linear polarizer. He says "almost black". To get polarized it must be black.

This looks better than the NeatImage. I think I will try the Topaz Labs DeNoiser. I took a quick look at Topaz´s website and it looks very good. Even restoring details
