Re: Debunking the high NA / coverslip correction myth

Hi Macrero, May I ask again an unanswered question? - Is the objective refocused? (from the normal infinite design position, 1mm WD) If so, closer or farther of the sample? (my bet is that it is refocused closer although farther would be more desirable) How much? In your image I can see very little ...

Re: What are these?

Without knowing anything ... teleconverters? Never mind - that would need a bayonet at the other end too. This is also my bet: teleconverters devoid of the rear male bajonet: at the second image we can see that they're acting like divergent lenses. Although teleconverters could work I've never seen...

In the 3D view, the left and right are reversed 😊
Not really reversed, right image is at right side and left at left :D
But not good to see with the eyes crossed

Re: Kinoite on Apophyllite from the Christmas Mine

Nice sample and picture!

Please note that the stereo is parallel type (the one I prefer but not the more usual here that are to be seen with crossed eyes)

Re: microscope lens 10x

52mm (male) to RMS (female) adapter. In this case no need of two steps
This is pretty common at ebay and other sites

No idea about your zoom convenience. What camera do you use?

Re: microscope lens 10x

Yes, almost 100% for sure this is RMS, full corrected and computed for 180mm tube lens like the UIS series If so, the magnification on sensor with a 100mm lens focused to infinite would be about 5.55X. Being designed for 22mm FN, likely it would not cover the sensor with good quality up to the corne...

Re: ultra macro suggestions beyond 10x -- cheaper but ok objectives to play with? Sony aps-c

This is not the BD version. Infinity non-bd CF objectives have an RMS thread. The infinity CF BDs use an m27x0.75 thread. Normal LU plans use the same 25x0.75mm thread as other eclipse objectives, that should be fixed on the list. When reading the original post (I now see that it has been edited, a...

Pau, bigger version here. You'll be looking out of your ears if you get too close though :D

I just tried to screw a Sigma 56 mm f/1.4 lens onto a Canon 70-200 mm f/4 lens with the reverse side and got a vignette already at 135 mm...
This is typical of the Canon 70-200 mm f/4 zoom, also with objectives able to cover FF when paired with other tube lenses.

Re: Bellows repair with new plastic dovetail inserts

At least in my Pentax the morphology is not so simple: despite that the general shape is, there are taped holes for bolts and recesses to fit a metallic pressure plate and a half tunnel to allow placing the axis and pinyon that engages the rack. Of course I'm not saying that it couldn't be done with...

Re: Bellows repair with new plastic dovetail inserts

Hi Betty,
The material in my case is PLA, I ignore if it's the best material but it works fine, it's biodegradable and in mines also luminescent
