Hello Lou,
Many thanks for the info!
BTW, I have KENKO DG C-AF 1.5X TELEPLUS MC. Is it OK?
Best,

Re: Test, using Teleconverters and/or extension tubes on a microscope
Hello Javier,
Until now I have used CAMERA -> TC-> TELE 200mm-> INF-LENS.
But your setup is probably CAMERA ->TC -> RING -> TL -> INF-LENS
as in the following picture:

Re: Test, using Teleconverters and/or extension tubes on a microscope
Hi,
Have I understood this correctly?
So, the TC is used as follows
- with a finite microscope lens => to shorten the tube length
- with a infinite microscope lens => as tube lens
If so, where is the best position of the TC for an infinite lens?
Best,
ADi

Hello Nancy!
Welcome to the forum!
I'm afraid you won't get better quality than with the Nikkor 200mm.
I don't have that lens, but sometimes use the Canon EF 70-200L as a tube lens and it is really great.
But I switched to the Raynox DCR-150 because it is cheaper than the EF.

ADi

Re: Test, using Teleconverters and/or extension tubes on a microscope
Hello Javier,
Very interesting story.
Have you tested TC with the microscope lenses corrected to infinity as Mitties?
If yes, what would you recommend for the crop 1.6 and TC 1.5x and Mitu 50x ? BTW, I have already used TC but with tele EF70-200L and Mitu.

ADi

Re: Reversed Enlarger Lens?
Hello Owen, I'm afraid it's not the best setup for outdoor shooting, but for studio shooting definitely. Please take into account that you will probably need to use stacking. For this reason, the cameras with fast internal focus bracketing are best. In the studio you will need a macro rail. By the w...

Re: Papilio blumei scales
Hello Javier,
Really great photos
If I am not mistaken, this is the green Swallowtail.
I once shot the mountain Swallowtail and the scales looked almost identical.

Hi Pau, Yes, I use the internal focus bracketing very often. But, the second fantastic feature of the M6M2 is the full electronic shutter. I have taken over 500000 photos with my M6M2 so far, but only one with the mechanical shutter :-) By the way, when I use my rail, I fire the flashes in the middl...

Hello Lou,
yes, sometimes it's better not to clean, not that I am lazy.
But I just don't know how to clean butterflies.
You can't bathe them in an ultrasonic device.
Best,
