Anne - why the question marks?

I think your microphotographs have a very distinct style - both in the technical execution and in the framing of the subjects. 'Never inteded to say anything else :-)

Anne,
thank you for these nice images. Your photography is - as always - very precise and to the point. I enjoy this very much.

Kind regards
Peter

I also enjoy that you include scalebars for your images!

Do you by chance know why Olympus has a line of non "U" Apo objectives (e.g. the "PlanApo 60 1.40").

Unusual Olympus 10x

Hi, recently I came across an unusual 10x Olympus objective: A UPLanApo 10x Oil NA 0.40 and thought that it might be of interest to some members of the Forum. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/6661_10xOil_1.jpg Oil immersion in a 10x is uncommon (to the point that I have never seen one) ...

George, Chris, thank you for your kind words. @ Chris DAPI and fading is a non-issue for me. I am not sure if you mean fading over time (storage) or photobleaching during illumination. The DAPI signal stays stable over months even at room temperature and i am sure that it will last even longer. Duri...

Hi, micro manager can directly interface with a wide variety of stages and other peripherals. See section Stages, filter wheels, shutters of the Micro Manager device support (1) for details. These are however mostly very expensive but from time to time and with patience you may get lucky on Ebay. I ...

Also some examples from recent work. This is more on the work than on the hobby side - but nevertheless taken on my setup: UPlanFl 60XOI @ NA 1.25 with HR-DIC on a dry NA 0.9 condenser taken with a Point Grey GS2 monochrome camera in Micro-Manager. The image is bronchial epithelium with a dual immun...

Hi from northern Germany

Dear photomacrography and amateurmicrography community, after a sometime reading and a shorter time posting I feel that it is my time to introduce myself. I am working in pathology and by this am able to enjoy microscopy most of my working day - I hope this does not disqualify me from the amateurmic...

Hi Mike, thank you for your detailed report on developing and building your system. I really enjoy reading along. Have you tried ImageJ for stitching your images (especially the Grid/Collection stitching plugin). I have successfully stitched microscopy image up to 10 GB on my relatively modest machi...

Thank you! I have read your article on superresolution with the Zeiss universal and was very, very impressed. Superresolution in the home-shop (this is the right kind of crazy!). Thank you for sharing the details on your blog. Have you ever tried different excitation wavelengths with your setup? Do ...

Thank you for your descriptions and sharing the photos!
I did not expect it to be so complex, but in the end I did not know what to expect. I think this will make an interesting project for you.

The U-Photo is a monster. Can you share your experiences? I have a SWTR30 with SWHK eyepieces, but it is currently fitted to my work scope and will remain there for the foreseeable future (I enjoy the 26.5 image circle). I cannot easily use it in my test setups. Has somebody noticed any differences ...

Hi, regarding Olympus tube lenses. I have a U-TLU around but some time ago I have noticed a super wide-field tube lens in the Olympus OEM components (U-SWTLU-C). Has anybody had the chance to try this lens? It is available through edmund optics and even cheaper than the U-TLU - however it is not fit...
