Hi Omer If you already have camera lenses for one of the camera brands I recomend that you continue with that brand. Several years ago when my old Minolta camera gave up I had to change camera mount. I was mostly interested in nature photography and wanted a 400mm lens. Most brands did not have a go...

I decided on the quite new AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Processor with 8 cores / 16 threads and a 1 TB Kingston’s A2000 NVMe PCIe SSD. I am quite pleased with the performance, tested with Zerene Stacker and ...

More precisely, what lens was used in the test photos? I use the Nikon 160/- 4 /0,13 W. This is more or less a 4x lens with a black plastic cone with a cover slip at the top of the cone. The 4x W objective was easy to find some years ago. I remeber a thread about this objective but I can not find i...

I use vertical set up, mostly a microscope for my amber pictures. The deeper into the amber the insect is the larger the problems. I have a post with pictures that shows the differens between water, glycerol and oil;  http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=163565#163565 Glycerol or mi...

But they do have CA problems that is more or less pronounced depending on the light and the subject. This is the worst example I have in the drawer - a blue/violet butterfly scale ...

Photomicro - Thanks for the polarpictures! Here is an alternative and probably more correct - but more time consuming - way to handle CA. I made R G B pictures from the original, adjusted them with adobe photomerge, merged the R G B pictures and then made a WB. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/...

Hi Lou
Interesting questions. Short answer is that I didn't notice any obvious flaws using the tube lens. For a correct answer more testing is needed.
