Yesterday and today I was using two different microscope objectives first an infinite Nikon 40x ELWD. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3238_stereo_4.jpg Then I used a finite Nikon M plan apo 40x http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3238_Pollen_1.jpg For the cropped stereo I did...

Very nice, and a good proof of concept. When I try to take photos of objects in water I have some trouble keeping them in one location. Not having such delicate and uniqe specimens that you have I use to pin them down. Do you have any tricks to hold your orchides in place? Best regards Jörgen Hellberg

Re: Flash(es) recommendation
I think that's more than acceptable, but I would like to make sure there are no vibrations affecting sharpness at those critical magnifications. Indeed - very nice pictures! I have also tried to use flash on butterfly scales some years ago. https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=189...

Hi Pau and Lou Jost - thanks for the questions This is the 20x plan apo NA 0.75 objective. I have done some WB,...

Was testing to find the best compensating variation settings for using the Nikon plan apo 20x NA 0.75 0.17 160mm objective. The result seems to be best at approximately 4 cm extra tube. First some heavily cropped pictures of some dust. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3238_test_2.jpg Pr...
