I have mounted a J1 in a binocular stereoscope in a third tube and it works wonderfully, covering the field well. With the 5100 sony I had problems at the corners. I do not know if a microscope will work well, I suppose. The way to do it I made it with a special plastic piece (black delrin), machine...

NIKON PLAN APO 20X/.75
Hi. I have not been around for a long time. Does anyone know this lens and tried it? Does this lens have enough coverage for FF? It would be of great help to me some information. Thank you. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-CFI-Plan-Apo-20x-0-75-DIC-N2-Objective-/121997284700?hash=item1c679ad55c:g:p2kAA...

In my web you have to test objectives 10X.
In my opinion the 10X nikon is better in the center, has more contrast, and Mitutoyo is constant in its quality even in extreme center FF

(For sale) Two Mitutoyo

Sure it's a kludge, bodge, botch...! The screws can settle into the groove in the lens even with the tape in between, which helps. If the lens is slightly tilted it doesn't matter much if you're stacking though, heh? You get parallel inclined slices, which are curved anyway, unless it's a true flat...

Tried one of those. The adapter screws supplied, are too short, though there are of course possibilities. Eg, £0.50 worth of black tape, wrapped round the lens to fill the gap, also give the screws something to go into. It seems to me that this solution is a kludge. How do you ensure that it is al...
