Bravo, nice lighting and clearly visible mouth parts. It looks very natural. As for me, the background is slightly oversaturated (slightly to left slider on the blue color in LR or PS would be enough). Then the beautiful hornet would be even more visible.

Re: claws of the true bug 20x
Stunning ! The wonderful lighting makes the picture appear three-dimensional. But in your earlier photo, the butterfly's claws with the texture of a dinosaur made a more terrifying impression

Re: Looking for a x10 LWD lens
Hi, Soldevilla, please send me your exact address (my e-mail: ctl@laser.wroc.pl) and I will pack and send the lens. You will be able to test and see if it will be useful to you. Then you will make a decision. Remember that you will need a 200mm tube lens, it can be an ordinary zoom lens, e.g. old Si...

Hello. I have a lot of fondness for Spain, I have a friend in Madrid. I have a redundant, new, Chinese copy of the Mitutoyo 10x in my drawer. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000342417329.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allProduct.8148356.6.70551040Nd1uSt I tested it - the sharpness is good, there is a bit ...

Wonderful! Please tell us how you edit your photos, step by step. I'm far from your quality, my raw pictures are similar, and I'm willing to sit at the computer for hours to get closer to your perfection. What tools are you using? Do you retouch every element of the eye pixel by pixel? How do you ge...

Re: Crane fly
I like it very much. We, too, as children, were afraid of those "big mosquitoes" with long legs. In the close-up Crane flies always look like creatures out of this planet - they resemble aliens with huge eyes. Great photo quality !

Re: small water drops
Hi ADi Excellent as always! Let me ask you - did you bathe that fly in ultrasound? Was it pure distilled water? I ask because all my bath attempts end up leaving spots on the compound eyes. I tried water with a drop of detergent, 70% spirit, pure ethyl spirit, isopropyl spirit and even a contact len...

Lovely baby. :smt026 He reminds me a bit of ET. As for the reflection on the spherical surface of the eye, the method proposed by Rik produces an acceptably natural effect. Blurring in post-production can unfortunately seem like a blurry dead eye. I like the masterful photos in nature of Thomas Shah...

Re: Robber fly (Machimus arthriticus)
No, it doesn't. Focus bracketing requires AF lens. Canon mpe-65 is fully manual, so I use WeMacro automated rail for this lens. This post may be helpful viewtopic.php?f=8&t=43470

''Machimus arthriticus'' is a Palearctic species of robber fly in the family Asilidae. They are predators famous among others for their extraordinary ferocity. You can see it at first glance. When we look at its head, we see huge, compound eyes, which play an extremely important role in the hunter's...
