Re: Fuji GFX 100 pixel shift update
This is another test that I shot a paper. It looks like better than wafer test. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50688486968_62dc367dae_z.jpg macro_ps 400% https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50688481328_de14ef327b_z.jpg 400% by The following is the raw file seen in capture one, you may find some...

Re: Fuji GFX 100 pixel shift update
I had tried another test later in 2:1, but the result is not good. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50681714412_a0600e1a3d_z.jpg GFX100 Pixel Shift test (psed) You can find the pattern on 200% crop. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50681639626_98cdd10213_z.jpg 200% When I looked at those separ...

Thanks Chris and Lou, I will try some experiments to find the problem and the solution.

Re: Schneider macro varon 85/4.5 CAS @1x
What surprised me the most was its control of colour aberrations at the edge. If you use shift-shift shooting, this increases the range of movement.ray_parkhurst wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 5:32 amSeems I'm not using the lens to full potential on my lowly APS-C sensor! But maybe someday I'll graduate to FF, and it will still be useful.

Re: Schneider macro varon 85/4.5 CAS @1x
great images, and it seems that it's diffraction limited even on the small pixel pitch of the GFX100. not sure why the overall contrast gets so much lower when stopping down though, any ideas? I think one of the reasons may be related to the electronic shutter. I used an LED board as the light sour...

First I would like to thanks dmillard who gave me the adviser on https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41029 This lens covers GFX sensor perfectly. The Printing Nikkor 105 A is a very impressive lens. However, you may be interested in nathanm's 1x test on his PhaseOne sensor (67mm diagonal) in which he showed that a Schneider MacroVaron had better performance at the image edges. https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33627&high...

So that's a 44x33mm sensor? Nice to hear there are no medium format edge effects due to micro-lenses or other digital sensor complications. However, your posted coin example doesn't really show that very well, since there is no detail in the corners or even on the far edges. May I suggest that a pe...
