Full frame equivalent aperture is applied when the magnification intended for MFT is half that of FF vertically, in order that the MFT image fill the frame in the same way as the FF image. To make a bug fill the frame of an FF image, by comparison to an MFT sensor, I need the bug to take up twice th...

Well, this has been informative. It's pretty clear that deconvolution sharpening is just another form of contrast enhancement -- albeit perhaps a smart one -- making informed decisions on the desired manipulations in the frequency domain. So we are left with guessing as the best (only?) way to 'reco...

I have same problem where I would like to find some base plates or other mechanism for fastening 40mmx40mm and 60mmx60mm stages to breadboard. Any ideas other than the wood block (which is great idea, thanks!)?

If the lens is telecentric on the sensor side, then the angle of light rays through the exit pupil, from the perspective of the sensor, doesn't change much with extension. If the incident light rays don't change, the EA doesn't change. So then it does stand to reason that the increase in diffraction...

Hi Robert,
Did you use full electronic shutter for the normal single shot exposure?

I am curious as well why they do not enable the hot shoe when shooting slower than the readout speed.

1/4 second is surely a safe sync speed for ES, so why can't that be enabled?

Ever try one of those generic 4x objectives stacked [instead of pure extension]? I'm thinking it might also do pretty well. Maybe not as high res as the Lomo, but the coatings are probably more modern.

Neat. So is focus bracketing mode electronic shutter only, or can you choose mechanical as well?

Will it fire the flash when using the focus bracketing mode, if you choose to also use flash?

Fuji does not.

Olympus -- not sure

Panasonic might in one it's bracketing modes, but again, I'm not sure.

Interesting.
I tried the 7 element Nikkor Scanner ED on a tube lens and I could not get good results, even with an aperture between the lenses

So which lens do you think would perform better in a lens stack? Makro-symmar 1x 120, APO-Digitar Macro 120 1x or APO-Digitar normal 120? Thats the question :D Not sure, but Aperture Mount NK-0 is the device you want in order to use a normal Digitar. This is Schneider's Copal 0 compatible aperture....
