If the lens is telecentric on the sensor side, then the angle of light rays through the exit pupil, from the perspective of the sensor, doesn't change much with extension. If the incident light rays don't change, the EA doesn't change. So then it does stand to reason that the increase in diffraction...

I am curious as well why they do not enable the hot shoe when shooting slower than the readout speed.

1/4 second is surely a safe sync speed for ES, so why can't that be enabled?

Ever try one of those generic 4x objectives stacked [instead of pure extension]? I'm thinking it might also do pretty well. Maybe not as high res as the Lomo, but the coatings are probably more modern.

I tried the 7 element Nikkor Scanner ED on a tube lens and I could not get good results, even with an aperture between the lenses

The APO-Xenoplan 35mm f1.8 and 17mm 1.4 have small image circles -- do they cover APS-C in stacked configuration?

Is it a given that the Componon should be reversed in this setup, since it is image is being focused on at infinity?

Thats the question :D Not sure, but Aperture Mount NK-0 is the device you want in order to use a normal Digitar. This is Schneider's Copal 0 compatible aperture....
