Re: lighting cage with CAMVATE clamps and arms
What would you suggest for moving a flower into the desired location for a stack? I have NOT been able to find any flex arm that I can get into the desired position. You might try these flexible gooseneck clamps, one that has a magnetic base and one that has a screw base: https://www.amazon.com/gp/...

Re: lighting cage with CAMVATE clamps and arms
Thanks very much Rik for the links to your setup. I'd remembered seeing the post before but could not find it again.
And David, I look forward to seeing your list and what you put together!

Re: lighting cage with CAMVATE clamps and arms
Hi David, I for one am very interested in learning more about the details of what you are doing and links for the parts you are using, as I am in the process of planning a “cage” of sorts and was planning to use t-slots instead of PVC pipe. If you would be so kind as to post some of the links for pa...

Re: lighting cage with CAMVATE clamps and arms
Very nice cage, Rik. Thanks for the good explanation and links. I purchased those clamps and arms some time ago and am very happy with them. Do you have a post somewhere where you detail all of the pieces of your specimen holder, with links? I need to make a better setup than I have been using. Many...

Re: My new 1:1-1:4 LED studio rig
Very nice setup! Thanks for the detailed information.
I am gathering info to make my own rig for 5:1 to 10:1. You said that you have a different rig that goes from 1:1 to 10:1 using Stackshot controlled by Zerene and lit with two flash. Is there a post where you have shown that rig?

Re: Recommendations for linear stage for use with 10x objective
Please, do make my quest longer!!!
I am not surprised that there is already a list. Given this forum, I was surprised that I did not find such a list.
Caution? I am already well down into several rabbit holes!
And my taxes are due soon......

Re: Recommendations for linear stage for use with 10x objective
Great, thanks so much for the link, Rik. I didn’t go through every FAQ link, but I remember seeing that one and thinking it was on how to focus stack.

Re: Recommendations for linear stage for use with 10x objective
Thank you very much gentlemen for all of your very useful replies. I read quite a bit in this forum before posting my question, and this morning I have spent a full seven hours going down into various rabbit holes here to see what people have done. So much great information here; it is really astoun...

And perhaps a dumb question. Why is it called a trimming platform?

Re: Recommendations for linear stage for use with 10x objective
Thank you very much, Rik, for the very informative and helpful response. Do you ever sleep? It seems like you respond to so many posts in great detail. My mistake on the WeMacro stage. Wishful thinking perhaps, but yes, it is of course XYR stage and I am looking for XZR, or at least XZ. The 60mm XYZ...

Physicsmajor, following the information in these forums, I did indeed do as Lou says and I always have the tele set to F4. I too am very interested to see info on your tests with smaller apertures.

Recommendations for linear stage for use with 10x objective
Hi folks, I recently purchased a Mitutoyo 10x objective for use with my Sony A7r2. I use a Canon 70-200mm telephoto as the tube lens. Before this I was shooting at 5x, with the Laowa 25mm 2.5-5x extreme macro lens. I read a lot in these forums before purchasing the Mitty and am grateful for all the ...
