When I lived in Boca Raton, Florida giant mosquitos would be blown in from the Everglades once in a while. They were much, much larger than the usual mosquitos and really did bite.

I can only imagine how much attempts at mosquito control cost the state.

I had a strange problem photographing a red Euphorbia milii flower with flash. The red channel was very much overexposed relative to the green and blue channels. When I used diffused sunlight the problem did not happen.

One day I'll try to reproduce the the problem and post it here.
