I used Nikon d610 + Raynox DCR 150 + Nikon LU Plan BD 100x NA 0,80 + 2 flases + Mjkzz rail. The corners are ok-ish with this setup, only cropped to remove the banding from alignment (at this magnification the frame moves all over the place with my setup). The rail goes down to 0,3um step size but it...

Greetings, This is my first attempt with my new 100x objective Nikon LU Plan BD 100x NA 0.80. Nikon D610 + Raynox DCR-150 + MJKZZ rail + 3xflash Stack 64 frames, 0,9 um step size Working distance is 3,5mm so it's pretty hard to bring light to subjects like eyes, but I'll do some more testing. Also t...

Thank you for the replies, I have a Mitty BD and an older Nikon BD type objective like in that post but they all have in common a ring on the body that has better grip so you can grab and turn to disassembly. This LU plan doesn't have this, which makes me wonder if the exterior can be removed, glued...

Disassembly of Nikon LU Plan 50x
Hello everybody, I have a question about the Nikon LU Plan microscope objectives BD type. I want to remove the the exterior cover of the objective so I can better light the subject and I don't know if it's possible with this model, I can't find anything on the internet about this. This is the object...

Thank you for your replies, I have and tried the Raynox 250mm as a tube lens but the whole setup was kinda flimsy (I had to improvise a lot regarding the adapters and extension tubes) so the results wasn't that good. That's why I was looking for a sturdier plug and play solution :D. About the DCR 25...

135mm Tube Lens recommendation
Hello everybody, I'm currently using Nikon Micro 200mm as a tube lens with microscope objectives ranging from 4x to 40x on a crop camera. I would like to obtain more in between magnifications and also use a higher magnification/NA objective for lower magnification work for better performance (I hope...

Thank you for the reply. It makes perfect sense, I thought of something similar but unfortunately for me it means I have to change everything, so I was hoping for some sort of hidden trick :D. I use a single studio flash which lights from above the subject into a horizontal paper, tunnel like diffus...
