Thank you Chris, so you suggest to put a step-down ring to go from a 77mm filter to a 52, and buy an adapter from mitutoyo to 52mm filter? Because I can't find this one...

Adapter for Mitutoyo and 62mm and 77mm filters

Hi everyone, I'm just about to purchase, after prepararing all the other stuff for placing the subject, a Mitutoyo objective. I wanted to use as tube lensed a Sigma 105mm macro and a Nikkor 300mm. They have 62mm and 77mm filters. So I tried to find an adapter from the Mitutoyo to the filters, but I ...

I think that you sould post your requests in "Beginners macro" .
ALthough, I think that it's fine to use as a tube lens your 70-200 at 200mm, you should obtain a 10x, in addition the crop factor 1,5 of Nikon aps-c camera that resultus in an additional virtual magnification of 1,5x.

Thank you for appreciation. Of course not a single picture! It is a stack of 30 images I think. Yes, I could also remove the head but it would be very unnatural.
I didn't try the eraser but the blur tool, but was not enough

Cicada portrait

The purpose was to show the "face" of this Cicada from Croatia, that at the stereomicroscope caught my attention. Unfortunately I wasn't able to separate the head from the body because the bokeh is not enough, I think that to do better than this I should use a very open diaphgram or a microscope len...

Of course wonderful photo! The things you see could be deformations of the cuticula originated during merging from the egg 8the chitin is delicate in this moment) or even a defect in the formation of the cuticule of the eye that has a very complex structure since it has to convey light to the photor...

Paracetamol polarized

This is an image taken at my monocular microscope, that I transformed into a polarizing microscope at home, by adding two filters (one in the body as revealing and one rotating on the condenser). The subject is paracetamol, the slide was prepared by solving a common paracetamol pill in a solution of...

Hi everyone, I'm Riccardo Poloni, from Italy (a village close to Maranello), I'm an entomologist and specialist in the taxonomy of Cerambycidae, but of course interested in nature photography from childhood.
