Re: Rocking bristles

Very nice. The second version is definitely more convincing.
I think the viewing experience would have a more pleasant flow, if the pictures moved slowly backwards instead of suddenly jumping back to start.
Kind of ABCDCBABCD instead of ABCDABCD.

Re: first post

Very nice shots.
I especially like the Echinacea flower. Beautiful composition, colors and textures.
But the harvestman and the springtail are also very nice.

Ice crystals on the hedge

The sunshine on the big ice crystals created thousands of sparkling highlights. I had to try a picture. Re: Advice sought on weird stacking artifact from mirrorless rental

I do a lot of handheld focus bracketing and have experienced the same problem several times with both Olympus OM-D E-M5 og E-M1 II. I also suspected it was caused by the IBIS stabilazation moving the sensor around during exposure. Anyway, speeding up the shutter seems to reduce the problem. Since th...

Nice picture of a beautiful animal.
For those not familiar with the dutch language the scientific name is Calopteryx splendens, and it is a male.

Re: Manual focus bracketing of small live subjects

My take on Focus bracketing in the field. It is common wisdom that for real macro and focus bracketing you want manual focus. It is obvious that if you want to do manual focus bracketing in the field by moving your camera in small steps autofocus will totally destroy the concept. On the other hand a...

Re: New olympus 90mm 2x macro

Interesting news. I wondered if I could benefit from an upgrade of my trusted 60mm macro. I hoped for a decent price tag, because I would like a longer working distance for capturing butterflies and dragonflies. With the announced price It is out of my range for now. And loking at the working distan...
