Don't know about the "blob" but, to me, it looks like a very doleful cod with panniers.

I really must invest some time in exploring "Affinity" more thoroughly. I have been a LR user right from its inception - a Beta user many years ago - and felt that I had just about mastered it so it's a bit of a bugger to have to start all over again; but perhaps that's what Adobe are banking on! Ki...

Thanks, I'll have a look at Capture One but I'm a Canon user and £300-ish is a bit steep for me. Also "a heck of a learning curve" is a bit off-putting but who knows?

Kind regards,
David

Alternatives to PS & LR

Hi Beatsy, Thanks for that, I too am refusing to bow down to Adobe's subscription only policy. I have Affinity but was wondering, what do you use to replace LR's cataloguing facility. Also, have you, and if so, how have you, saved your developed LR images? I beg of you, please keep your answers simp...

Another ebay scam?

Hi All.

There's another dodgy listing for an Amscope By suzbab10. this one at the princely sum of £26.

Take care.

Suspected ebay fraudulent listing

Hi All,

Just a heads up re a possible ebay fraud.
I have spotted a listing for a "Go-Plus Lab Bino. 'Scope" by gostoboogang at a price that seems just too good to be true...£22.99.
I have asked ebay to check its authenticity.

Kind regards,
David

Hi, No offence taken and none meant either. Apologies if you imagined that I was being boastful, that certainly was not my intention. I wasn't implying that my skills were in any way superior to Beatsy's - who posts some of the more impressive images on this site - just that I had somehow (beginners...

Hi, This reminded me of a stack I did some time ago. Searching my records revealed that way back in 2009 I made some images of a common lacewing with a Nikon EPlan 4X and with a Nikon Plan 10X. Both were working way outside their design parameters, each on 185mm bellows extension giving approx. 6X a...
