Re: rotating worms

Hello everyone,

Many thanks for your comments!

The two little worms are at the top of the z-axis of the depth map.

Re: some scales

Hello everyone, In the previous photo you can't see that the wing is strongly bent. It is also not visible on the stereo image. But on the 3D picture you can see it very clearly. stereo: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53633700623_79022cb076_b.jpg 3D side view: 3D_3.jpg https://live.staticflickr...

Hello Macrero,
Yes, and they change colour and shine depending on the lighting.

Wow -- I did not expect there would be that many layers of pink scales!

Hello Rik,
In this case, you can look deeper with Rocking Stereo than with the 3D model:

rotating worms

Hello everyone, The small worms, which are stack artefacts caused by dead pixels or dirty sensor, behave strangely on a rocking stereo. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53647101713_227d4d5772_o.gif They probably end up at a different depth in the stack than the photo subject. Or is there another ...

Re: cross-sections of MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic capacitors)

Hello Rik, OK, your comment may have influenced me. However, the current photo also offers an excellent stereo effect. I think that the combination of these factors, combined with the fine granular surface texture of the ceramic, causes much more of the surface to be in deep shadow with the higher m...

Re: Efficient diffuse macro lighting for SWD objectives

Hello Steve,

You have achieved great results!

I tried something similar with my Oly NeoSPlan 80x/0.75.
ChrisR gave me a good hint:

BTW, my results were not as good as yours.

Re: Bellows suggestions?

Hi Cunha, 2. The relay lens is something different than the tube lens. If you use an infinite microscope, you already have a microscope objective, a tube lens and an eyepiece. For the photos you need a relay lens between the eyepiece and the camera. Usually 40mm for crop and 60mm for FF. 4. Each len...
