Thanks, Rik.

This wasn't a very fruitful photo summer! Butterflies were particularly in short supply!

Thanks for the reply. It was sheer luck that I got the second photo. I had finished taking several exposures of the first scene and was standing up then noticed some rather violent twitching on the leaf. Then I got the last photo.

Kurt:

I usually find Salamanders in the Fall when they go swimming in my pool. The water is too cold for people. I relocate them to nearby ponds. The chlorine i need to apply to the water will not appeal to them or to the frogs.

Thanks for the input. These specimens are from a rather dense ans dank woods near the bike trail. I don't bother going there for fungi shots unless there has been sufficient rain to stimulate fungi growth. Perhaps your specimen needed more rain.

Fungi, ect. along the cycle trail near my home.

These shots were taken using a Nikon DSLR and a Nikon manual macro light. Most are obviously fungi. One might be a slime mold. This is an excellent photo. The butterfly is very busy but you have made it look so cozy and peaceful!

Welcome to the forum.
