Re: Looking for a new monitor

Sorry, but I am suspicious of these...There are very few reviews on BH Photo, and these are mixed. There was only one review on the Pro 20 model, which gave it a scathing 1-star review complaining about software issues. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1542892-REG/huion_gt_1901_kamvas_pro_20_p...

Re: 42 or 58 diameter tubes

I really like wider tubes 58mm or greater. These let me do sensor shifting if I desire, and reduce reflections and are easier to baffle.

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Beatsy, I almost always draw and paint on an easel, which is nearly vertical. I guess it depends on what we are used to.
Best,

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Beatsy, it is sad toi hear that their software has not improved. I like the vertical position, and it doesn't take up much more desk space than any other vertical monitor. Here is how I set it up on my desk. I can also lift it off from the desk and hang it on my wall so I can draw freehand while sta...

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Reading the reviews, I see comments saying that it can't be mounted vertically. It MUST be mounted vertically. I think a little do it yourself fix should be possible. I built an easy wall mount for mine, and also a nearly vertical desktop mount.

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Yes, that's a newer version of mine. This version is much better than mine because of its LED-backlight display that has a huge color gamut almost equal tio Adobe RGB (mine is sRGB). This will be a great tool for you.

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Smokedaddy, I started off with a Wacom Intuos tablet, but found it frustrating. I eventually got a Wacom drawng monitor, which I love-- great for retouching! But clunky unreliable software. Mine is old so maybe the new ones are better.

Re: Fossil termite

I suppose that makes sense; after a few thousand years the volatiles should be gone, no matter what it smelled like.

Re: Fossil termite

Maybe you can smell it? Copal has a distinctive turpentine odor. We have the copal tree growing wild here.

Nice. I like the one with the brighter white background best. There is something painterly about it.

Re: Looking for a new monitor

Looks beautiful, congratulations! I still use a self-calibrating older Eizo, and I like it very much. But that new monitor of yours has me dreaming... But I could never pack such a thing in a suitcase, so it is an impossible dream. That is probably a good thing, for my savings account. I am not note...

Rik, thanks, yes that must be it. I see that this was on MFT so may be of little relevance here.

Re: I need advice to get my money back

I agree with Beatsy. This is your fault as well as the vendors' fault.

I often see eBay vendors say that they will not declare false values. Other vendors openly say they will declare false values. Which of these two kinds of vendors would you trust more?
