Re: [Hands On] Venus Optics (a.k.a Laowa) Aurogon Macro Lens
I still can not believe how happy I am with Aurogon, it is a little bit "too good to be true", but true :D I can only look at the fascinating pictures with impatience. I'm curious to see when the Aurogon set will finally go on sale. I ordered it months ago here in Germany, but it hasn't been delive...

Re: Workflow - New WeMacro Rail
It is necessary to activate the Silent Mode on the camera first. Then you can choose the Silent Mode with Olympus Capture, too.
See the image with my settings below. The heart indicates the Silent Mode (I inserted a red arrow there).

Re: Workflow - New WeMacro Rail
If you look at the Wemacro manual (https://drive.google.com/file/d/13h-sBUqT4mHHboeAASUCYWSjG3bZbc3B/view?usp=sharing), you will see that Wemacro has a socket for a stereo plug (2.5 mm). I myself use the split cable from Stonemaster with a 3.5 mono plug, but with an additional adapter from 3.5 to 2....

Re: Workflow - New WeMacro Rail
That is the most comfortable workflow with the EM5 Mk II, the Wemacro rail and one computer. What I forgot above in the description of the comfortable workflow is the power supply of the camera. Thus, if one does not want to change the battery regularly for recharging, there are two options: a) Usi...

Re: Workflow - New WeMacro Rail
Both cameras (EM1 and EM5 II) have the same USB connector (for the remote cable RM-UC1), so it can work. But I'm not sure, so better ask the seller.

Re: Workflow - New WeMacro Rail
I use a Olympus OM-D EM5 Mk II for focus stacking with a Wemacro rail, too. The problem is, that the connector for the remote release and the data transfer is combined in one USB socket (unlike e.g. the EM1 Mk II). Therefore you need a special cable, which splits both ways. If you can`t make your ow...

Hello Olympusman, thanks for the background informations. It is a pity, that Olympus didn`t continue or improve the Olympus Studio. I do a lot of stacking, using an E-5, Cognisys Stackshot, Olympus Studio and Helicon Focus Pro. So the Stackshot is connected to the PC and controlled by Helicon Remote...

Unfortunately the Olympus E-M1 possess no separate connectivity for the remote control (as it was e.g. at the Olympus E-5). It is possible, to release the E-M1 by the Stackshot controller with a cable connected to the multi-connector of the camera. But in this case the multi-connector is blocked and...

I don't want to promote rafcamera (perhaps other producers have similar adapers), but the M26-72 mm adapter would have been available, too (http://rafcamera.com/en/adapters/m72x0- ... ad-adapter). But you have produced the adpater by your own -- much better!

Yes, to combine two or more adapter rings was my first idea, too. However, a search in the internet has shown, that the appropriate adapter was available. It is pleasant, that these objective thread-microscope objective thread adapters are available for different sizes and that at least a combinatio...

I do not know, where uvvvvw bought his adapters, but I am using the same lens (Sigma 150 mm) with microscope objectives (RMS thread), and I bought my adapter from rafcamera, e.g. here: http://www.ebay.de/itm/RMS-to-M72-thread-adapter-/251399936552?pt=US_Lens_Adapters_Mounts_Tubes&hash=item3a889a9a28...
