Very cool photos, the ant mimicking spider is quite unique. We have ones here but I am yet to find one.

I like the by-play in the second last shot - the spider seems so intent on the camera that he's oblivous to the ant sneaking in under his front left foot for a go at his sac (presumably of eggs?) John Thanks John, I am sure she knew where that ant was as she kept moving to avoid it. I think the dif...

Yeah will do, I work week on week off and can only really post images on my week off. But that's ok as I can always link to my Flickr if anyone is keen to see more. I have deleted the extra posts and changed the title of this. I will be more careful in which photos I post from now on and will not go...

Scott, welcome aboard! These look great. I'm especially intrigued by the interesting posture in #2. I don't recall seeing a jumper standing so up straight like that. Is it common behavior for that species? --Rik Thanks Rik. This is the first time I photographed this little guy, but my friend in Bri...

Thanks John Hi John With this one I used my D800E, 90mm Tamron +DCR250. My technique was handheld (standing) and then t...

I use some printed out backgrounds for some of my shots and just hold them up behind the subject. You can basically print out any background that you like. http://nikonites.com/attachments/learning-photography/56797d1382429912-post-your-insect-shots-shm_4737.jpg http://nikonites.com/attachments/wild...
