Green Spined Stink Bug
Howdy Gang!!! Although common where I live, I do not come across these very often. Thought I would share several shots. I took great care in getting this guy posed, and when it was "ready", I placed him on my macro assembly. While taking a lens off of my bellows, it slipped in my hand, and I broke o...

3M lens test
Hi Gang!!! Remember the post by Ray Parkhurst in the Equipment Exchange forum, regarding two 3M lenses? (http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=46818) Turned out that I purchased the two lenses, and here are some sample shots using the 8.05X lens. Both lenses required additional ...

This is shot looking down from the top side and yes, the scales appear to cover the claws.
Thanks for responding and I did not get notice that you replied to this and the wood boring beetle posts.

Ray
Thanks for the info on these as you kno II bought them.
Now I wait between 4 to 10 weeks for the adapters I need from RAF to fit them to my Nikon BR series mount
Their condition is excellent and I am excited to use them.

Pinkstriped Oakworm Moth
Hi Gang Got this from my son-in-law, and the moth was recently deceased, so I thought I would give it a try. I will submit more after I try to clean it up further. About 120 shots at 40-micron increments using a Navitar zoom machine vision lens attached to bellows using a Nikon D850. Polarized optic...

Hi Gang
Found this guy right after it died and the parts that were still good were the legs.
This is a shot of the right-rear leg, looking straight down.

Re: deformed spider?
Hi FotoChris!!! Thank you. That would make very good sense. It has been deceased for a while, and I did notice the abdomen getting flat. Also, after several days, the limbs are still quite soft and flexible. I would have expected them to harden up. Anyway, thank you for the great information. Mike

deformed spider?
Hi Gang! This spider has an interesting backstory. I'm working in my studio (Man Cave) and I notice something crawling on the floor rather strangely. I take a closer look, and it is a spider. What was amazing was how it was moving. All of the legs were curved towards the front of the body and the mo...

Re: Another Florida Invasive
Hi Jay I agree about the eye. I was wanting to see more of a compound structure. As far as the rest of the specimen, before it passed, it opened its elytra and tried to position one of the wings. Since I could not put the wing back under the elytra, I decided not to include it as part of the shot. M...
