Re: Unsolvable Focal Abnormalities on an OM-D E-M1X & M.Zuiko 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO

I use a Lumix G9 for stacking. This camera has two different sequences for shooting the stack. One of these sequences moves the focus position closer and farther away from the initial position of the stack. The second sequence moves the focus position farther away from the initial position as the s...

Re: New olympus 90mm 2x macro

This also means that I might be able to answer questions about this lens from PM.net members, if they have any (answerable) questions. Thanks Enrico. I will be very interested to know if this 90mm lens presents some vignetting (hard, soft or null) as tube lens in a combination with microscope objec...

Re: Olympus DSLR internal focus stacking as a rail for microscope objective

Jennifer, About using Olympus OM-D cameras focus bracketing with Zuiko lens as tube lens and a microscope objective, just have a look to this post https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=36453 To my point of view, the maximum magnification that you could use with this technic giv...

Re: mitutoyo objective case

Good job, Antonio!
I'm also using STF-8 flashes with Olympus OM-D cameras, your method to pull back the light is inspiring, thanks a lot!
I sent you a PM, I'm interested to get the STL file.

You need the M1 to get the Focus Bracket feature. However the focus stack will be very useful in the field. The M5 mark II has focus bracketing. It does not have the in camera stacking. You have to have or update to firmware version 2.0 or later. With the recent update of its firmware (version 4.0)...

Scott, Did you check if your lens isn't already focused at infinity before you took the photo? The focus bracketing always stops when focus is on infinity. Just to test if this could happen, pull back the MP ring on the lens, put the distance on 10ft, replace the MP ring in auto-focus position then ...

Last year, I've done a test of Olympus focus bracketing with an afocal system. Here, you could read (in French) the memo of this test. http://www.lenaturaliste.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=233&t=17286&start=70#p107588 The test was done with the M. Fan, I have checked it and, to my point of view, the good step in the focus bracketing menu is "5", the same as for the 5X Mitutoyo. I also have to point you that as you can see between the Zuiko Zoom and the microscope objective, I have a M42 diaphragm. I do not close it a lot, only 1/3 or 2/3 EV f...

Fan,
It's now quite a long time since the last time I used the Nikon 4x.
I have to check one more time before my answer, it will take a couple of days.

I don't see that "<<<" or ">>>" button on my camera. So I cannot do 8x "<<<", as Jean-Marc did. I would like to focus to a closer subject, say at XYZ meters away. But how do I determine that XYZ value? These buttons are on the Olympus Capture software, not on the camera. Before using this software,...
