Averaging results and using same alignment for several stacks in Zerene command line

Hello! The problem is: There are 100 deep stacks (each 270images). 10 Stacks in a row are shot from the exact same positions, the only thing that changed is the direction of the light, so they do not vary in Shift x, Shift y, Rotation or Magnification. Is there a way to easily make the first stack, ...

Re: Mitutoyo M Plan APO 5x (unused)

300 euros is decent, that's around $360, for all new with the box, that's on the very very low end. Used ones with questionable optical quality are usually $250-$400. I've seen lower and higher ones, but in general you're guaranteed to find one within that price range at most given times. Now with ...

Hi Kurt, thanks for your message! Yes, I understand. That´s why I also attached some posprocessed images in the layered tif. I will have to do other experiments whith the 16bit output from the stacking process - especially with brighness modifications. As Rik stated, the stacking process should prod...

Thanks, Rik, for your prompt reply and the examples! I did some other experiments on 8bit jpgs as source files and 16 bit tiffs as source files, stacked into 16 bit tiffs. The stunning results are (for me at least), that there is almost no visible difference whether I use 8bit source files compared ...

Stacking 8bit JPG input files to 16bit tiff as output

Hello, I tried to find an answer to my question in the older posts but did not find anything. Maybe it is a stupid question, but... Would it make any sense if I would stack 8bit jpgs as input files to 16bit tiff as an output file? Would such a workflow generate "more colors" in the output and be a b...

I think the lighting also makes these photos very distinctive. In the video, it sounds like his motivation for the stitched panoramas was at least as much about controlling the lighting on different parts of the bug as it was about getting the enormous detail (in fact, the detail really peters out ...

Searching for Mitutoyo 5x apo

Hello, I would need a Mitutoyo 5x Apo Objective. I bought one from Korea but it has fungus and does not produce very crisp images, so I will send it back. Does someone of you want to sell or change his Mitutoyo 5x?? Or does someone know where to buy them for ok prices here in Europe? Kind regards, M...

Thanks, Chris.

Did not recognize that it is the SL version. Then then the 20x makes not much sense I guess. I already have an UMSCO 20x and the SL version of Mitutoyo might not have better quality than the one I have.

Kind regards, m.
