Re: WeMacro Stand on Steroids

Hi Carlos, Yes these are the same that comes with the WeMacro kit, we also ordered some from 80/20 or Misumi but can't remember which nor the details. Make sure you get the one that support the M8 bolts and the proper M8 "T" nuts. If you haven't ordered the WeMacro kit yet, William can provide thes...

Re: WeMacro Stand on Steroids

since the profile looks quite standard all the suppliers who offer the alumina profiles also offer lot of different right angle connectors, for example ITEM https://product.item24.de/en/products/product-catalogue/products/right-angled-connections-1001012002/ In fact.... thanks for the suggestion, I...

Re: WeMacro Stand on Steroids

Hi mawyatt, Your setup caught my attention for its simplicity, versatility and apparent robustness. On the other hand, there are some points in common with mine to which I would like to add a more robust vertical component using the Wemacro Vertical Stand. For that reason I would like to ask you if ...

Lou, I recently snagged the only Mitutoyo G Plan Apo I have ever noticed on eBay, corrected for 3.5mm of glass. I'll apply my "boat" idea to this, so I can image things a few millimeters tall with NA = 0.50!!!. I look forward to seeing the results of this objective. According with the manufacturer's...

Hi Lou Jost,

Everything presented here makes sense in photomacrographs of amber inclusions.

Hi mawyatt, I don't use any of my older tube lens setups anymore, I've switched to these because they have much better lens support with the multiple clamps, which BTW are both beautifully machined. The MJKZZ clamps are ~12mm thick and the Wemacro are ~15.5mm thick. The MJKZZ main body is comprised ...

A very elegant and flexible solution. The detection system for flash availability is very clever solution.. I have long been a big supporter of OpenBuilds solutions for their flexibility and robustness. I am updating my setup to include vertical usage and so I am particularly aware of all successful...

Viva António, Olá Carlos ...:) Looks massive :) .. but's only the perspective and close distance photo. You don't show much of your work .. still doing the tiny fossils? A way to join two passions: photomacrography and amber inclusions. The inclusions are an excellent and challenging target for test...

Hi Yawns, My rig is also based on OpenBuilds (from ratrig.com) with an 2080 T-slot extrusion where my mjkzz industrial rail THK KR2001 is fixed and a V-Slot Gantry as a slider with an XYZ Stage. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/2824_TL00002resized_1.jpg In the images can still be seen s...

Hi Jörgen Hellberg I use vertical set up, mostly a microscope for my amber pictures. The deeper into the amber the insect is the larger the problems. I have a post with pictures that shows the differens between water, glycerol and oil;  http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=163565#16...
