I agree with Harold that the whole perspective of the picture changes once you see the match. Very nice.

I suppose its all a matter of market forces in action.Harold Gough wrote:
Why concern yourself with tiny fluctuations in price when it does this?
I'd better buy a lens now while they are still affordable and avaliable.
I believe the JML initially went for $10 a pop. Now it goes for over $200!

Oh! I thought you'd have lost the corners with a 50mm lens   . . This is all made possible by removing the cover on the objective.. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=115443#115443 So if it works at 1:1, and presumably a little less, it's remarkably versatile. Just to...

Nikon CFI BE Plan Achromat 4X
Some informal pics I have taken with a newly acquired lens, the Nikon CFI BE Plan Achromat 4X with the "hood" removed mounted on a Super Takumar 105 and Pentax K5, hand held using natural light. New to this discipline of photography so all comments/advice/criticism are most welcome. http://www.photo...

It is not the same as the Varimagni Finder, because the PM-6 viewfinder has only one magnification. Alan Wood Thanks for clarifying this. I went back over what I read and just could not find were I got this information! The distance from the front of the body to the film plane is about 17mm,...

The result is very good to me. I couldn't test the smaller magnification because with 7X my bellow is squeezed to it's shortest distance. Hi Acon, Lovely capture and nice adapter. Looks solid. Can you also reverse the JML lens in the adapter? I know the pitch is different, but have you tried mounti...

Cameras like this offer the extra function of a reflex housing and viewer for focusing which is not actually necessary. But they may be worth using if they don't cause the imaging rays to have to go through extra and excess to needs glass. The less glass after the objective, (usually ) the better. ...
