Olympus BHTU BH-2 Trinoc ready for Camera setup

Hello all, I sadly have a microscope to sell. :( Its been really good to me, but I need to sell it for now. I will have to get another at a later date. Works great and ready for a Canon setup, just literally connect and go. If I am not mistaken, you can just take the ring off and it will fit Nikon (...

Ha! This is a rather interesting setup that you have chose with your flash ring! I really like the light that you are getting with it. I cant really use mine with my 100mm (just my 65mm) unless its at 1:1, and even then it doesn't seem just right. I might have to design something similar.

Sorry for the late response, I was out of town and otherwise occupied. Do you have other pictures? What I see here suggests a species of Phialina (a ciliate that resembles Lacrymaria, but lacks that organism's long, mobile "neck"). I'm sorry but I do not. Come to think of it, it would be in my best ...

Lunch

Haven't been around these parts in a while. I figured spring is upon me and I would make myself a little more prevalent again. Found 7 of these little fellas munching on a dead Ostracod. I am not aware what they are. If anyone can be of assistance I would appreciate it. :) Taken with a 40x Oly objec...

Hello Ichthyophthirius! (you can be too close) YOU SPEAK LIES!! :D I don't know what you mean by cross-section (transverse section?, segment?, tergite?, sternite? Oops, sorry. I referred to it as a plate, yes its a X-sec of a abdominal segment. Is this a sclerite surface and you're talking about the...

My gosh Krebs, these are beautiful! You’re a master at taming those highlights that you often get from those iridescent insects, and still retain beautiful lighting.

Not sure what THIS is called...

Does anybody know what "part" this actually is? It is a X-section of a Blackburn's Sphinx Moth the third plate from the tip of the abdomen. He must have been very recently dead when I found him because I could still move his legs about. So I had this feller frozen in an old honey jar and somewhat fo...

These are a beautiful set Charles! Out of curiosity, which objective (in terms of magnification) do you seem to use the most with your DIC work?

Very good shots. Love that DIC! I realize the red is the eyes, but what are the two "yellow/green" spots on the left and right of the body?

From what I am reading, the hot mirror is the best one for the back of the BH-2 to prevent the halogen light from melting the front of my flash; am I correct?
