Wild M3Z or C and M8

Post by tabarnes »

Does anyone know if the objective between the M3 and M8 are interchangeable?

It's true that they are not directly interchangeable. However, there are Wild adapters for this. I just bought a Wild M3Z that comes with the M8 Plan 1x lens via adapter.

I suspect an m3 objective might vignette on an m8 though (at lowest mag only).
By the way, how about m7as? They seem nice but the mag range is low for the scopes I usually assemble (gem scopes). A flip in 2x auxiliary would be noce, but I don't want to get one that isn't compatible.

I have a M7S that is soon surplus. Would need to verify whether the objectives and auxiliary objectives are compatible.

The M5A I might keep, though.
