That is some infestation of mites in fifth photo, was this a live shot?

wondering about the green cast to other photos.
used to do astronomy.
and photography.

The flies were frozen. The fly from the heel of the photo had a lot of small mites and one large (you can not see it because it was underneath)

Jacek,

Your last set - masterpiece. You must have big photographic library. Now , in December such flies don't fly .

On the last your picture I have noticed desintegration of fly's eye.

Have You tried to take a picture of those flies in fluorescence?
