Thanks Pau!

Both are simple bright field stacks with an Olympus BHT stand, a SPlanApo 10 and a NFK 2.5.

I used cover glases with beeswax spacer to get a sufficient thick layer of water to orientate the specimen and not to crush them. That's all.

I asked it because illumination is superb for plain BF, I guessed some kind of incident illumination complement.

Lovely images and a very nice find. The markings on some species of Ostracods are really marvelous. I think they would make excellent textile patterns.

I often have the same problem. I guess it depends on the shape of the specimen. Sometimes Ceriodaphnia occurs more "ball-shaped" (round) and it is easier to stack those in an appropriate way because there is a larger distance between carapax and internal organs.
