That's interesting. The first image is quite 3d-looking with a distinct impression of depth (nice image). The second looks like the spring has been smashed flat, even though it has more depth because it's been rotated so it's not parallel with the sensor (right?). Is that scaling in stacking that made it look like orthogonal rather than perspective projection?

Beatsy - this is stacked to death. The firs shot was pretty much parallel to the lens. The second set was shot fro about a 30 degree angle relative to the camera.
The good news is that it was shot with the 80mm Zuiko bellows f4, which I had been ignoring for some time, but am recently having a torrid affair with.
