Polysiphonia

Post by hkv »

I have been growing red algae in a salt water sample jar for some time. Grows in small balls of red threads. This is Polysiphonia at various magnifications and illumination techniques.

Beautiful set, reminds me somewhat of fungal anastomosis (netting).
