Anyone has info / experience / reviews / owns this rail?

Apparently based in Belgium .. an European (at last) maker / dealer looks too good to be true :) (no import taxes)

I think the explanation for the reasonable price is the design with a standard timing belt instead of a precision screw. The result is a minimum step size of 0.125 mm (or 125 micron).

This item is far from being a serious competitor to the well known brands of stacking rails offering minimum steps of 1 micron or less.

It is apparently mainly marketed as a video rail or for time lapse photography.
None of the shown examples are deep stacks.

Interesting to learn if it is well working within its limits.

oh oh .. ... I was so excited I did not see "mm" .. i assumed 0,125 MICRON... :D
I did not even see the belt ...
I guess I'm better with my manual rail... and will keep on debating if I'm going to pay the taxes for a Wemacro or not....

Thank you Troels.

You may want to see if they sell the controller separately and if it will support sub-micron steps. Linear slides are easily adapted to stepper motors.

Wemacro is cheaper and goes down to theoretically 1um. This one doesn't even use a precision thread. It's only designed for low magnification stacks.
