Wow, fantastic. Sharp and with a nice wide range of colors. Not knowing what some of the terms mean, can you explain in words what "FLUO-C6.1, HF B+C" means?

Thanks. FLUO-C6.1 means autofluorescence, and I used my cube labelled C6.1 which refers to specific dichroic mirror, bandpass filter and excitation filter.

HF is Helicon Focus for depth of field stacking, B+C means I blended a method B and a method C stacking into one image.

Thanks, I should have recognized the Helicon abbreviations. The details of the filters and excitation source would be very interesting to know. Maybe you have referred to it in another post somewhere that you could refer us to?

Excitation Filter: 352 – 402 nm single band bandpass filter
Dichroic Mirror: 414nm
Emission Filter: 437nm long pass edge filter

Excellent images, Waldo

This is one of my favorite subjects but I've been unable to get results like yours because the fast photobleaching of the chlorophyll, both with UV and blue excitation.
Please, could you tell me the ISO setting and exposure time of the pictures?. Maybe my excitation intensity is too high although I doubt that my LEDs will provide more intensity than your HBO.
Did you use ND filters or any other trick to avoid photobleaching?

Thanks Pau. I agree - photobleaching is definitely a concern here. My ISO was 400. However I had a 1.6 second exposure time per frame. My X-Cite 120 was set to its lowest level like all my photos. I definitely do engage ND filters - but I never record which ones. I have a 0.25 and 0.6. Sometimes I'll use both, but this image lets me believe I only engaged the 0.6 or the 0.25.

Thank you very much, this is relevant info, I usually shot at ISO 100 or 200 and get exposures about 1s, so I'll need to try lowering the excitation by means of ND
