Two Rotifers - Lepadella & Polyarthra

Post by hkv »

I see a lot of Rotifers in my samples. Some are more photogenic than others... Apparently there are more than 1500 different species of Rotifers. These two I believed to be Euchlanis & Polyarthra, but a microbehunder member identified the first as Lepadella. I have updated the title accordingly.

Note: I see that I have messed up my notes for these images and I am a bit uncertain which objective I used.

Thanks Marek, Mike and Beatsy! Regarding the light, I tried to keep the light low to avoid glare and halos. This time, I think this tactics turned out well.
