I´ve been offered an fluor objective.
Can that be used for bright/darkfield?
I thought fluor objective has an fluorite element to get better sharpness and color, like camera objectives.
Or is fluor microscope objectives designed for fluorescence only?

What is the full designation of the objective?
Normally a "Fluor" objective like Olympus UPlanFL are "normal" objectives and not made for fluorescence only. It refers to the glass element being (originally) made out of calcium fluoride. Fluorite objectives are normally better corrected than cheaper achros but less correction than more expensive apochromatic (APO).
And yes, you can use them for bright field, dark field, DIC, etc. as well as for fluorescent illumination.

I don´t have the full designation of the objective, all I know is that it´s an 10x Fluor.
It was as I expected, as you say, a fluorite element.
He has shipped it today, so I should get it tomorrow, hopefully.
I will test it, and see what I get. I think it would work just fine.
