A stunningly clear view of Campanella's multiple peristomial rows. The third mage is magnificent, and I love the last one, too.

Really great shots. Rogelio, how did you tether a flash to your setup? I was contemplating doing that to freeze cirri like you did here, but I cannot figure out how one would maintain the 100W light source and tether a flash to the system?

Thank you for your comments.

Waldo, on the following link you can see pictures of my flash setup:

As you can see I only removed the lamp's cover and put the flash behind it, I think maybe you can do the same with your Olympus lamphouse.

That is simple enough... But how do you view the specimen when the flash is hooked up? Flash is triggered, not continuous. So if there are any focus/x-y adjustments needed, how would you make them? It seems to take at least 10 seconds to switch the 100W and the flash?

The halogen light is always on at lower power setting (it is used to track and focus the specimen.

I think I get it now - I did not look closely enough. You merely removed the lamp cover, not the halogen lamp itself. So the flash sits behind the halogen bulb. Got it - thanks!
