Brand new shiny wings

Post by Aynia »

Missed this one hatching yesterday high (not too high) on the corner of my cabin. Not sure how long it was out - less than an hour.

Large white butterfly.

Qutie nice, pleasing colors and good details but might we have seen a bit more of the butterfly? :D I have a rather large moth cocoon suspended in a large jar. I have been waiting for it to emerge and yesterday the cocoon began a violent shaking, so it should not be long before it emerges. I have had it since last November I think...not sure, I would have to go back and check somethings but I have had it quite a while.

I shall see what I can do. I have to look at the pics but the thing was right up in the corner on the north facing side. I had to get the step ladder and had a crick in my neck. I've no ring flash or light so it was quite difficult.

Has yours hatched yet?

No not yet. The shaking and rustling within the cocoon has stopped for the time being. I had my camera ready in hopes of catching the emergance but all is quite, once again, in there for now. :D
