Early flax

Post by Beatsy »

Lots of plants in my garden are coming out early this year. Rapeseed were in full bloom by the last week of Feb (a month early) and today I found the first flax blooms had popped out (usually mid-May-ish). Here's a few close-ups of a flax flower with a couple of petals pulled off to show the innards.

The whole flower head and a stereo from the same stack. MP-E 65mm at 1.2x onto full frame. FoV of this cropped image is about 10mm.

A bit closer at 2.5x and a 50% detail crop

Ah, how silly! I see now that your initial posting was already clear about that. I guess I was distracted by the lovely imagery and failed to read the whole thing!
