Hi everbody,
I found a Gastrotrich and had the possibility to catch images in four differnt levels.

Nice set Anne, very interesting stuff. DIC is indeed capable of showing cross-sectional images of the subject, like a ct-scan.

Beautiful. Your Olympus Vanox DIC is superb and it's obviously in very skilled hands.

Hello everybody,

thank you so much Vasselle, Smokedaddy, nanometer and MASZEK for your comments, I feel very honored.

Oh yes I enjoy my DIC very much, but I want to add some comments to this very special Gastrotrich.

I asked a specialist for a classification.

He told me this is Chaetonotus (Chaetonotus) illiesi SCHWANK 1990.
First time described in 1990 from Peter Schwank.
There is nothing more about this Gastrotrich in the www and perhaps I am the third person who has seen this species.
