Adapting Vanox for Medium format?

Post by Davids »

Does anyone have experience utilizing the Olympus Vanox microscope with medium format cameras? I know that the Vanox PM-10 had the option of a 4" x 5" film holder attachment. The 4x5-wf10x eyepiece was necessary for this larger format. I would like to attach a Fuji GFX, which has a 4 x 5 adapter, to this microscope.
Any advice? Recommendations?

Thanks!

The 4x5 framing eyepiece is not essential. It just shows you a line around the camera's field of view when you look through the binocular eyepieces.

You can frame and focus using your camera's viewfinder or LCD screen, or perhaps tether it to a computer, so you can easily manage without the framing eyepiece.

Thanks Alan,
Which projection eyepiece would be ideal for the larger sensor (43.8mm x 32.9mm)? It's good to know I don't necessarily need the vanox. I'd like to utilize a newer model, one with infinite objectifies ideally.
