using astrophoto camera for micro? (Beginner in micro)

Post by keithlt »

I have an extra astro ccd camera its the ATIK 420C 2 megapixel Sony ICX274 sensor Pixel Size: 4.4 µm x 4.4 µm cools to delta 40°c.
I have moved to a mono cmos for my astro hobby and would like to try through the scope low mag imaging. already have a c mount adapter for the 420C but that's all so far.
should I go with a stereo head on a base ? I really like the idea of rail stacking and have various astro stacking software and PSCC.
open to suggestions.
maybe you have a good beginner system to sell me, PM me if so.
thanks for reading this. keithlt
my astro gallery is the lazy k observatory on face book.
