Some progress ! I noticed i had used an unclean cloth to wipe the lenses so there was smudge on every one of them. Cleaning them up cleared the image up a great deal.
Working distance from the front element of the Raynox to subject is 2".
I think it will be enough in the field.
Field of view mayby 1.7" so not exactly super close macro.
Only solution i can think of is a higher diopter close up lens ?
Shot in natural light, bit shaky handheld with no support but mayby i can improve my grip a bit.
