Sunflower Pollen (100x DIC and darkfield)

Post by WalterD »

A while ago one of my microscope friends gave me a home-made sunflower pollen slide, a good excuse to use DIC again.
The first image is an overview at 40x, the next 3 images are with 100x objective. I've been experimenting with the lambda plate which creates what we may call "color-DIC". Image 4 is without.
Image number 5 is darkfield , 100x with double immersion ( condenser as well as objective > iris objective).
Thanks for looking and a happy new year to all forum members!

Pretty but makes you want to sneeze just looking at the spiny little things.
