That's a very interesting marking technique! Looks like a welding track, complete with discoloration. Some sort of electric arc process?

I do not recognize the component.

If it's off a PC motherboard it may be a crystal oscillator. Just a wild guess.

The weld around the perimeter was possibly done with a laser welder or a TIG welder in a vacuum or inert atmosphere. I say that because there's no heat discoloration. The ID markings were probably done with a laser welder but in a normal atmosphere resulting in oxidation from the heat.

Can you post a picture of the entire component? Doesn't have to be a "quality" shot though. This could help identify it. BTW 26.0 is not a standard number you see on non-accurate components like typical resistors and capacitors which use 22 and 27.

Here is some additional information. Initial photo was taken with 10x objective so approx.. dimensions of the component are 1.9mmx2.5mm.

This came from mobile phone motherboard. Here are some 5x images.

2)Bright field with cross polarizers (focus on board plane reveals 4 wire connections)

Looks like a crystal oscillator to me, probably 26.0 MHz.

Note that apparently only 3 electrical connections are used, the lower right "pad" doesn't seem to be connected. This would follow a simple oscillator, since only +Vcc, Ground and the output are needed.
