This is an interesting lens that punches a bit above it's £128 weight............
Attached are a couple of shots at 2:1, one as is, and, for a laugh, one with a PK-13 extension tube. Camera is Nikon D810.
To give an idea of scale, the balance wheel bearing jewel is approx 1.0mm diameter.
Being fully manual, it takes a bit of concentration to use, but the results are very reasonable.
The enclosed jpegs have had Level adjustment only in P/shop.
Both are at F11, iso 400, and are 100% crops.

Hope it's of interest.

Pete, welcome aboard!
Thanks for the new reference. LordV is a highly reliable source.
The Oshiro 2:1 lens has come to our attention several times, as has its predecessor the Venus Laowa 2:1.
Two searches that will quickly produce interesting links are
oshiro
venus AND laowa
The relationship between Venus and Oshiro products is interesting. Enrico Savazzi has a long review of this issue, mentioned in the forum at http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=34923, full review at http://savazzi.net/photography/60mm2x_lenses.html .
