.01mm accuracy won't get you to 10X. This specification is actually rather meaningless as they may just be calculating it by the stepper steps. Unfortunately vendors on Banggood, Aliexpress, and ebay don't provide proper specifications so it's hard to recommend precision equipment without actually buying one first.

That's right but as an engineer looking at the web-photos I would say it is mechanical more capable than stackshot. A problem for small seps might be the rather high pitch of the spindle but since everything is ballbeared low friction and stiffness could be achieved.

If you put a 10/1 gearbox between the stepper motor and rail I think it will be usable but the price will be at least doubled. You can buy a more precise rail with that doubled money.
